EMAIL POLICY
This practice does not enter into correspondence with patients via email.  If permission is given by the patient during a telephone consult we will (on the doctors instruction) email medical certificates, referrals etc. to the patient from the practice email address which is unattended and not available for replies.  A message to this effect will be received should you try to email the practice.  Please contact us by calling 9342 0471.

Social media Policy 

Purpose:
To protect patient confidentiality, support professionalism, and maintain our practice’s reputation.

Scope:
Applies to all social media, messaging platforms, blogs, forums, and review sites.

Official Use:
Only authorised staff may post on behalf of the practice, with management approval. Patient information must not be shared without written consent, and medical advice must not be given via social media.

Personal Use:
Staff must not post about patients, colleagues, or clinic matters in ways that breach confidentiality or professionalism. If referring to the workplace, include: “Views are my own, not my employer’s.”

Privacy & Conduct:
Staff must follow privacy laws and internal policies. Do not share sensitive content or images without permission. Posts must not be offensive, discriminatory, or defamatory.

Feedback & Engagement:
Only authorised staff may respond to online feedback, and all responses must be respectful and confidential.

Enforcement & Review:
Breaches may lead to disciplinary action or referral to authorities. This policy is reviewed annually or as required.
